2008 PHJA Fundraising

Last Year, through the efforts of a few dedicated PHJA members, we raised $2800 for the
United States Equine Rescue League (USERL).  This year PHJA would like to extend that effort to bring even greater
relief to horses in need in our community. Throughout 2008 PHJA will provide opportunities for its members to
raise funds and volunteer time to help local rescue leagues care for animals in need.

There are a number of ways you can contribute to this year's efforts:

- Get sponsors to pledge money for the PHJA points you earn this year.  Money raised will be donated to local
equine rescue organizations and shelters.  See PHJA Fundraising Page to download a pledge sheet.

- Participate in the Horseless Horseshow at the Mid-Year show.  $5 from every entry will be donated to local rescue efforts.

- Bring donations to the Mid-Year Show to benefit shelter animals and rescue horses.  A wish list is posted below.
Donated goods will be delivered to local shelters/rescues by PHJA volunteers.

 - Get a group from your barn together to spend a morning volunteering at Why Not An American Ark,
where horses from local rescues are stabled.  Contact Lisa O'Connell at
leocon99@aol.com to schedule a date.
