How old were you when you started riding6 I think

When did you know you wanted to be a pro:  I new from the time I had my 1st horse, I was so lucky to
have great trainers and I always wanted to be like them

First Horse:   Banjo Buttons, my dad surprised me with him...huge mistake on his part.
Dad tried to be sweet and just bought the horse out of the newspaper all on his own.
I ended up with a Club footed, Western, Palimino QH that had never jumped anything!
But I loved him like no other horse!!!!

First horse show ribbon ever:  5th place on a pony named Wellington

Biggest riding accomplishment to date:  Aside from ribbons at Washington, I think it would be my video series
"In the Stable"  I really think it shows my passion for good horsemanship, not just good ribbons.

Most embarrassing horse momentMost common, going off course....actually most embarrasing,
probably getting bucked off over the fence into a thatch.  They stopped the show to catch
Darby who ran out of the ring, down the lane and into the road!

Nicest horse you've ever ridden: I have had the opportunity to ride a bunch of nice ones, but I will name the
one who just had the sweetest sole I have ever known...Sochi, my 31 year old who died on the farm not to long ago.

Best Advice anyone ever gave you pertaining to horses:
Came from the galloping grandfather Harry Delair.
I was talking to him in the stable area at Devon and I was telling him about my pony Almost Heaven.
She was unbroke when I got her and she gave me a run for my money... He said, just take your time with her
and always end on a positive note.   I still do that to this day with my horses and my students.
