Owned Horses/Ponies:
In order to be eligible for Year End Points, a Horse/Pony must be registered, and the owner must be registered
(if owned by a farm, the farm must be a member).
Leased Horses/Ponies:
In order to be eligible for Year End Points, a Horse/Pony must be recorded with the PHJA.  If the recorded owner is not a current member of the PHJA, the lessee must inform PHJA and pay the $10 lease fee/yr before points will be counted.  The lessee must be a current member as well.
Ownership Transfer:
Any transfers of ownership must be recorded with PHJA; for transfers during the show year,
points will follow the Horse/Pony if the new owner/lessee is a member.
Name Change:
Any name changes must be recorded with PHJA.
Rider:
In order to be eligible for Year End Equitation Points, Rider must be a current member of PHJA.
Example:
Farm A owns “Fancy Pony”. “Fancy Pony” is ridden by Junior A from January to March in Short Stirrup Divisions.
“Fancy Pony” is then sold to Mrs. Doe, who leases the pony to Junior B, who also shows in Short Stirrup for the rest of the show year.

From January to March, “Fancy Pony” must be registered with Farm A as owner, so Farm A must be a 2006 member in order for “Fancy Pony” to get Hunter points. Junior A must be registered as a 2006 member in order to get Equitation points. When “Fancy Pony” is sold, she is renamed “Fancier Pony”. In order to continue to earn points, Junior B must be registered as a 2006 member, must record the Transfer of Ownership from Owner Farm A to Lessee Junior B, and must record the Name Change. Mrs. Doe does not need to be registered. The pony will retain all it's Hunter points for the year.
